St. Joseph’s technical institute, Kisubi emerged top of the Kampala cum Wakiso Regional Technical and Farm Institutes Woodball Competitions held at Nakawa Vocational Training Institute, Lugogo.
St Joseph’s finished with 36 points, 9 better than second placed Nakawa Vocational and 21 adrift of third of Lugogo Vocational who finished third by the close of business.
The competition attracted 24 competitors from the three institutions.
Them main aim of this demonstration workshop for Nakawa and Lugogo Vocational Training Institutes Students to prepare them for the competition.
Best players:
The top 6 players per gender qualified to represent central region at the National Technical and Farm Institutes Games which will be held in August from 3rd to 13th, 2014 at Canon Apollo Core PTC, Kabarole.
Best males:
Mwesigwa Akiriza was best overall male with 12 points having tied with Nelson Okello on 61 strokes apiece.
Other male players who make it were; Charles Sensalo, Walter Mwanguhya, Alex Mugabe and Emillion Ssenyungule.
Best female players:
Brenda Kyaligonza carried the day with 67 strokes. The other 5 were; Alice Auma, Elizabeth Nalwoga, Sharon Namuyanja, Mariam Nsonyiwa and Phoebe Nakato.
