Nile Special Pool qualifiers in Mid-West

Following a successful round of the Nile Special national open pool championships, attention now shifts to the mid-western region on Friday and Saturday.
“On Friday the qualifiers will be held in Hoima at The Spot Bar while Forest Pub in Fort Portal will host the Saturday action”, Michael Mawanda, the Pool Association of Uganda (PAU) publicity secretary explains.
Six successful players will qualify from the region to add to the already swelling numbers expected at the September 6th National finals in Lugogo.
128 pool players (8 of these are the top PAU seeded players) will take to the big stage at the national finals.
A brand new Toyota brevis awaits the eventual winner, with a cash prize of Ug.shs 2M and a pool table.
Last year’s winner is Jonah ‘Joker’ Turigye.
