Ugandan goalie Salim Omar Magoola aka Jamal Salim has been named in El Merriekh’s 20 man squad for the forthcoming Kagame Cup set to kickoff in Kigali, Rwanda next month.

The ex-Express FC and KCC FC custodian who completed a move to the Sudan club in June is amongst the five foreigners in the team as they seek to win their first Kagame Cup championship in 20 years.

Salim is joined by Kenyan international striker Allan Wanga; another new signing from AFC Leopards, Serge Pascal Wawa from Ivory Coast, Mohamed Traore from Mali and Egyptian Ayman Said Mohamed Ali.

El Merriekh is in group C alongside Rwanda’s Police FC, Somalia’s Benadir and reigning champions Vital’O.
