National golfer Willy Deus Kitata, ended his tour of Europe by shooting 10 over par 80 at the Augsburg Classic in Germany yesterday as he missed out on the cut in this PGA Germany tour.
Kitata, started with an impressive opening round of two over par 74 on Monday however he struggled to maintain his momentum ending up with a score of 80 and missing out on the cut.
The golfer of the year has been using the tournament to try and make a breakthrough on the professional tour he skipped defending the Eskom Open and the most recent Onito Memorial Open golf tournament.
The Entebbe based golfer played at the Praforst pro golf tour in Germany and most recently in the Lotos Polish Open in Poland which were all Pro-Am tournaments.
Kitata will be vying for honours in the Tusker Malt Uganda Open that tees off from September 1-6 at the Uganda Golf Club. He will also be considered by the Uganda Golf Union to join the national team that is in camp in Entebbe preparing for the East African golf challenge.
