Portugal based Ugandan defender Alex Kakuba has expressed his readiness ahead of the 2014/15 ‘Primeira Liga’ season.

In an exclusive interview with Kawowo Sports, Alex who joined Estoril Praia club in June affirms that all his mind and body is focused on the new league and ready for action. “Yes am set both mentally and physically for this season”.

“We (players) have had a great pre-season training and matches that have sharpened us and we are looking forward to a  great season”.

The 23 year old lad who is expected to make his debut tonight for Estoril Praia.

Estoril Praia travels today (Monday) to Municipal stadium where it will kick-start the season against Arouca FC.

However, Kakuba knows that it won’t be an easy season because he will meet bigger challenges, but will take every day the way it comes.

“There will be bigger challenges for me (because) am going to face good players in this league, however, I will take every day the way it comes, and leave the rest to God”. 

Kakuba completed a move from second division Leixoes Club to topflight side Estoril Praia in June this year.

The former Proline FC defender signed a four year deal but financial details remained undisclosed.
