Niger 2-0 Uganda

Two first half strikes in a space of eight minutes were enough to sink Uganda Cranes at the hands of Niger in an international friend match player in Niamey.

Daudi Kamilou opened the scoring in the 10th minute with a long range shot before Issiakou Koudize made it 2-0 eight minutes later to ensure the home side took a half time lead.

The Cranes had a few chances fluffed as the match saw no other goals but suffered a setback in the 89th minute as skipper Andrew Mwesigwa saw red for protesting a decision.

Both sides used the game to fine tune their squads ahead of the 2015 Africa Nations Cup qualifying match over the weekend with Cranes taking on Ghana in Kumasi in a group E encounter while Niger face Cape Verde.

Cranes will leave Niamey for Ghana on Thursday.
