Uganda Cubs Build Up Games:
Uganda Cubs 5 – 1 Tranova Academy
Uganda Cubs 0 – 1 Bul f.c
Uganda Cubs 4 – 2 Kayofa f.c
Uganda U-17 National won their second of the third build up fixture on Wednesday.
The youngsters overcame a hard fighting Kawempe based Kayofa football club 4 – 2 in a match played at Njeru technical center.
Goals from Willy Peter Ocen (brace), left back Alex Komakech and Qatar based academy midfielder, Hassan Ssenyonjo won the game for the national U-17 side before Richard Tumsiime and Andrew Ssekate got Kayofa’s goals.
This was the second victory out of the three trial games played so far. The cubs have now scored 9 goals and conceded 4, something that head coach is not pleased with.
“I am happy we score at will but the rate at which we concede is worrying”, head coach, Matia Lule said. Lule has used the build game platform to test different player combinations and match systems.
The team is set to play one last friendly game before flying out to Zambia for the first leg of the final round of qualification to next year’s CAF U-17 finals in Niger.
All the semifinalists in Niger will represent Africa at the FIFA U-17 world cup in Chile later next year.
