2014 Uganda Golf Open:

Hole in One : Steven Katwiremu (On Hole 4)

It is a rare feat to play a hole in one score on any course worldwide and successful players are given special honor. 

Steven Katwiremu will live to cherish the 72nd edition of the Tusker Malt Uganda Golf Open as his name will be engraved in the history books for being one of those players to have sunk a hole in one.

He achieved this on hole 4 using 8 iron ball pinnacle as he was playing alongside Fabian Rwalinda, Kostic Nemanja and Patrick Mwaka in the subsidiary event of the 2014 Uganda Golf open.

Joseph Kasozi and Lukkas Ferreira returned 68 nett to take the opening day leadership bragging rights after the opening 18 holes’ action at the ongoing Tusker Malt Uganda Open.

They are closely followed by Noah Waibi (70 nett) as Sam Onek, Moses Alinda and Sam Thakkar are all tied at 71 nett.

The main event swung into the third day of action with Adolf Muhumuza leading the amateurs while Deo Akope is on the summit of the professionals.

With two more days of action to play, who knows another hole in one performance will come by. The longest drive contest will be held at the close of day three.

Action climaxes on Saturday with a round of 18 to make 72 holes for the main event.
