Ahead of Wednesday’s AFCON 2015 qualifier, Uganda Cranes goalie, Denis Onyango calls for his teammates to have the same mentality, fighting spirit and determination – similar to the fixture against Ghana in Kumasi last Saturday.
Onyango, returned from Ghana with the rest of the Cranes squad but quickly down played his individual brilliance in the match against the Black Stars of Ghana where the Uganda picked a crucial away point.
“Football is a collective responsibility task. We are all commanders on the field. We played as a unit and I hope we exhibit the same mentality,” Onyango told Kawowo Sports.
The team headed straight to Sky hotel in Ntinda and will train on Monday at 7:30 PM (same time the match will be played on Wednesday).
“This is surely an open campaign and we shall strive to win all our home fixtures, given the fact that each fixture has its own game plan”, he added.
Onyango staged a great performance where he thwarted several Ghanaian goal scoring attempts.
