Uganda’s Tony Odur sustained a nasty knee injury playing for his Nkana Red Devils(the Zambian champions) in their rescheduled game with Konkola Blades last Wednesday in Chililabombwe.

He was substituted and was rushed to Kitwe Wusakile Mine Hospital for treatment.

He sustained the career threatening injury as his side lost 1-0 to the Blades and was rushed to Konkola Mine Hospital for treatment. Team doctor Dominic Muswala said on Friday that Odur is admitted at Kitwe’s Wusakile Mine Hospital.

“We suspect he twisted his knee. He is bleeding within the joint but at this stage, nothing can be done on him because it is difficult to examine a swollen knee,” Muswala  told the Zambia Daily Post.

Odur has scored once for his side when they beat Zanaco 2-1. Red Devils lie fifth in the Zambian Super Division.
