The Continental football governing body, Confederation of African Football (CAF) has suspended Rwandese football player Daddy Birori for a period of 410 days without engaging himself in the game.

The player was found guilty of holding two different passports. CAF revealed on its website.

The CAF Organizing Committee for the AFCON, on August 17th 2014 had banned Rwanda from the AFCON 2015 qualifiers for allegedly fielding Daddy Birori, an illegible player. Birori was said to have been playing for DR Congo side AS Vita Club under a different identity, Agiti Tady Etakiama.

The above dated rule also stated that Borori/Agita Tady Etakiama was suspended until further notice, and that the committee reserved the right to confirm the duration of the player’s suspension at its next meeting.

However, in the meeting held Wednesday in Addis Ababa, the Committee decided to suspend the player, Daddy Birori/Etekiama Agiti Tady for two years.

Rwanda national team ban decision was taken based on a petition filed by Congo after the first leg of the last qualifier between the two sides in Pointe-Noire on July 20, which the Amavubi lost 2-0 to the eventual petitioners.
