Ntinda based pool club, Rock Catalina and Gals Sports clubs waved good bye to the 2014 Clubs knock out event.
Currently second in the senior pool league the two clubs were eliminated by Skin Samona and Icon respectively.
Though Gals won the return leg 12-8 , it was not enough to save them from the jaws of elimination from the Nansana league one side, Icon who had won 13-7 in the first leg.
Seed nine (9) Fred Namanya had to win his last game against Icon’s top gun Allan Nsubuga. Nsubuga saved his club to the sudden game which was to be played Gals won 13-7.
Rockcatalina who were also home failed to overcome Skin Samona who took a 2-01 lead failed to maintain their lead when Skin samona won up to 8 games.
In other games league one side Boat pool club surprised its fans when it won Indigo 15-5. Indigo won the first league with a 14-6 but Boat pool club never gave up and had to wait for a return league at home. Isac Agaba and Odida Michael scored four each and it helped Boat to go through to the second round.
Senior pool league champions also had to win away at CKI to go through. Scrap yard won 11-9 at CKI and each side had to get one player to play a decider. Seed 2 Joseph Mutawe won the game after winning Edward Kiwanuka of C.K.I.
In Ladies category, Indigo , the defending champions maneuvered to the second round after winning Transformer 24-00 on aggregate when it won 12-00 in both leagues.
Lumas overcame Gals when it won it 8-4 and this helped them to go for the second round with a 13 -11 on aggregate.
Second round draws will be held on Monday (22nd September 2014) at Lumas Pool Arena.
