The Uganda under 19 girls’ sevens team, Victoria Vixens, is set to battle group A counterparts Western Kenya, Comras and Nyanza in the inaugural U19 Safari sevens tournament category Thursday at the RFUEA grounds, Nairobi.

The outfit arrived in Kenya safely on Wednesday and are relishing the adventurous prospect of competing for the first time in the tournament.

The squad comprising 12 gallant youngsters had breakfast at Nakuru wednesday before completing the final leg of the journey to Nairobi. At the Easy Coach offices, they waited for those responsible to pick them up and guide them to their accommodation.

The side have undergone early drills Thursday morning at Nairobi Primary before heading to the RFUEA grounds on Ngong Road for their first game at 9.20AM against Western Kenya.

Head coach Allan Musoke who did not travel with his team had an inspiring message for them ahead of the tough fixtures; “Good luck Victoria Vixens, nothing is going to take this victory away from us. Have a great day and may you be guided by the Almighty. Believe in yourselves and enjoy the tournament.”
