Simba SC vs Vipers SC
Bombo stadium – @ 4.30pm
Army side Simba SC begin life without dependable defender Fahad Musana with a Uganda Premier League (UPL) game against Vipers SC this Friday September 26 at Bombo.
Musana; who played in their opening day 1-0 victory over Entebbe FC last Saturday died mysteriously on Sunday while watching a Barclays premier league match between Manchester City and Chelsea FC and was laid to rest at his ancestral home grounds in Iganga on Tuesday.
Ahead of the game against the 2010 league winners who are yet to play a game in the campaign, Simba SC coach Fred Kajoba has made it clear that Musana’s demise won’t be an excuse for a poor performance and says they want to win the game for the deceased.

“It’s a difficult moment for the club but business has to go on as usual,” Kajoba told Kawowo Sports after the team’s last training session on Thursday evening which was concluded with a prayer for Musana.
“Musana has been a dependable player but he was just part of the 25 members of the squad and in Julius Kisambira, who I expect to take over his role, am sure we have an able replacement. All the players know the importance of the game and we have to win it for the departed brother,” he added.
Speaking on his opponents, Kajoba said that he knows the kind of opposition that awaits in Vipers SC but believes his excellent record against them gives him confidence.
“In my five seasons at Simba SC, I have only lost twice to Vipers SC. We have prepared well for the game amid the difficult time we are in and I promise a good performance,” he stressed.

His counterpart Edward Golola is well aware of the threat posed by the army side and believes Musana’s death may be an inspiration come Friday.
“Bombo has never been an easy hunting ground for us,” Golola said. “Simba is a tactical and physical side who always work hard. Besides, the death of their player may turn out to be inspirational but am optimistic we shall pick a decent result,” added Golola.
Vipers SC will miss the services of returning midfielder Ibrahim Saddam Juma who was involved in an accident on Wednesday and Mike Mutyaba who is still unfit.
New signing Allan Kyambadde is expected to make his debut for the Wakiso based side.
