Entebbe FC Vs Vipers SC

Phillip Omondi stadium, Lugogo

Following their 1-0 win over Simba SC in their opener, Vipers SC will be out to maintain a perfect start in the UPL when they visit Entebbe FC at Phillip Omondi stadium on Friday afternoon.

The 2010 champions won it late in Bombo and coach Edward Golola expects a similar never say die character when they face Entebbe FC.

“My boys never gave up in Bombo and if they can keep that against Entebbe FC, am confident we shall leave victorious,” Golola told Kawowo Sports.

Entebbe FC are yet to win a game in the campaign but are boosted by the return of coach Matia Lule on the bench.

The coach was missing as the side picked their first point of the season as he was with the Uganda Cub in preparations for the Zambia game.

Besides, they woke up from the 1-0 opening day defeat to Simba SC to hold one of the league’s favourites SC Victoria University at Namboole.

With three points from one game, Vipers SC lie 8th on the 16 team table while Entebbe FC are third from bottom with a point from two games.

Like it was in Bombo, Viper SC will rely on the attacking trio of Allan Kyambadde, Joseph Mpande and experience Vincent Kayizzi for inspiration.

Besides, midfielders Saddam Juma and Mike Mutyaba are also available for selection.

At the back, new acquisition Yusuf Mukisa is expected to partner Deus Bukenya at the heart of defence with Nicholas Wadada and Daniel Birikwalira manning the right and left back positions respectively.
