Entebbe FC 0-1 Vipers SC

Former champions Vipers SC have made it two wins in a row in their opening fixtures after edging Entebbe FC in a boring but closely contested game at Phillip Omondi stadium, Lugogo.

Keziron Kizito scored the only goal of the game in the 41st minute after a good delivery down the left flank from Vincent Kayizzi.

Both teams started slowly without creating clear opportunities though Vipers SC somehow dominated play with the hosts resorting to a physical game.

However, when Vipers SC took a half time lead, Entebbe FC upped their game especially in the second half and Ibrahim Mpengere came close to putting them level in the 64th minute only for his header to inches over the bar.

Ismail Kazibwe also came close to extending his side’s lead but his free kick after a foul on marauding right back Nicholas Wadada hit the cross the bar.

The final whistle blew to the excitement of the visitor’s technical bench as victory lifts them to 5th on the log with maximum points from two games.

The loss; Entebbe’s second the campaign leaves them second from bottom having amassed just a single point.
