SC Villa boss Engineer Ben Misagga finally revealed why he decided to part ways with Steven Bogere and appoint Sam Ssimbwa.
Ssimbwa was named on Wednesday as SC Villa’s new boss following a shock but diplomatic sacking of Bogere who had lost to Police 2-1 despite winning two opening fixtures.
Misagga said that Ssimbwa is an experienced coach, winner and one they expect to prepare players for professional stints abroad.
“I am a business man and so is Ssimbwa,” started Misagga. “One of the reasons we appointed him is because of his experience and the ability to nurture players for professional stints abroad,” he added.
“We want to be able to at least sell four players every six months so we can give others an opportunity. This doesn’t only benefit the club but players too. Looked around and saw Ssimbwa as someone who can help us achieve that.”
Misagga also emphasized discipline amongst his playing staff and reminded them to avoid hypocrisy.
