Lweza FC vs Entebbe FC
Mutesa II stadium, Wankulukuku
Entebbe FC seeks to win their maiden game of the campaign when they visit Lweza FC at Mutesa II Wankulukuku stadium on Tuesday.
Matia Lule’s charges are winless in their previous three fixtures and currently lie in second place from bottom on the 16 team log with one point.
However, Lule who doubles as the Uganda Cubs coach is not worried about their current position insisting citing inexperience in his squad but is confident points will come soon staring with a date against Lweza FC.
“Our previous three games have come against more experienced sides than us,” Matia said. “We have a young side but we are hopeful of improving especially in front of goal. We don’t convert the few chances we create but we’ve worked on that and hopefully we get maximum points against Lweza FC.”
Entebbe FC comes into the game on the back of losing 1-0 to former champions Vipers SC last week but face a side buoyed by the return of coach Vialli Bainomugisha to the bench after missing the previous two fixtures including the 1-0 win over Simba SC in Bombo as he was attending the CAF C license coaching course.
Lweza FC currently lie 11th on the table with 3 points.
KEY PLAYERS
Mike Sserumaga (Lweza FC): The Lweza FC skipper is the most experienced player on the team and has so far led by example. A dead ball specialist and an excellent passer of the ball, Sserumaga also has a knack for scoring important goals as witnessed in the 1-0 win over Simba away in Bombo.
Dan Ssewava (Entebbe FC): The Entebbe FC number 10 has quick feet and good hold up play though he at times his indecisiveness affects team play. Nevertheless, he is one player dangerous to mark.
