American Richard Powers is back in the country to impart swimming skills to 30 coaches in the country in a two week clinic being facilitated by world swimming body FINA at the La Grande, Hotel in Bwaise.

Not even the morning mild down pour could stop the 30 participants get into the pool for practicals with the experienced FINA instructor who will be in the country until October 14.

“He is back to teach the participants the stroke technique in the water, but at the same time teaching coaches how to handle swimmers at various age groups and categories,” Peter Mugisha, the Uganda Swimming Federation 1st Vice President Administration stated. “Richard was here in February this year and we are glad to have him here again as we upgrade our techniques in the water.”
