Giants SuperSport United scored three goals as they swept aside a 10-man University of Pretoria outfit 3-0 in the South African top league encounter played at Tuks Stadium in Pretoria on Saturday.

As Micho Sredojevich assigned Geofrey Massa a role to lead the striking line alone in last weekend’s 0-1 loss against Togo in an AFCON game in Namboole stadium, Pretoria University also started the Ugandan as a lonely striker upfront on saturday.

The Ugandan striker could not find the back of the net as Pretoria University met its 4th loss of the season with. Vuyisile Ntombiayithethi saw red in the 67th minute to condemn his team into a 10-man performance.

SuperSport United broke the deadlock through an own goal in the 19th minute after Defender Grant Kekana directed the ball into his own net.

Kekana’s day went from bad to worse as he conceded a penalty on the cusp of halftime. The AmaTuks defender hacked down Dino Ndlovu inside the area, and Daniels doubled the lead after directing the ball passed the AmaTuks keeper.

AmaTuks tried their utmost to get back into the game after the break with Geofrey Massa forcing SuperSport’s keeper into a fine save from a free-kick in the 55th minute. 10 minutes later, Togolese international Dove Wome made it 3-0.

The win moved SuperSport up to fifth place on the log while AmaTuks slipped down to 14th.
