Las Vegas based lightweight fighter Sharif “Lion” Bogere, has sounded a warning to opponents in his weight division ahead of his fight with Mexican Fernando “Cuervito” Garcia on 30 October at the Memorial Hall, Plymouth, Massachusetts, USA.

“There are some tough guys in my division, but I’m not afraid of any of them,” Bogere told fighthype.com in an interview. “I’m a warrior and a lion and I can take care of any of these guys on any given night.”

Bogere will be anxious to register his third win in the year after recovering from tendonitis that threatened his career. He has knocked out Arturo Urena and had his last opponent Miguel Zamudio retire in the third round of there 8 rounder.

The Ugandan prize fighter is now 25-1,(17 KOs) while his challenger is 30-6,(18 KOs) going into next week’s showdown. His trainer Kenny Adams has been working on his style and punching power ahead of his third fight.

He has urged him to economis on his load of punches and told him to take straight punches that will give him the points.
