Falcons’ recent struggles continued Friday night against City Oilers. They dropped their third straight game and sixth overall following the 42-60 loss to defending champions.
After a fairly strong show in the first half on the low scoring night, Falcons offensively went to bed in the third frame scoring a mere 9 points and 8 in the fourth as City Oilers pulled away to victory.
Kami kabange scored game high 20 points to go with 10 boards to pace Oilers (17-3). Daniel Juuko and Samuel Kalwanyi chipped in with 8 points each.
Falcons (15-6) who were held to a season low 42 points were led by Steven Omony with 10 points off the bech. Jonah Mukwaba and Yves Kalembayi contributed 9 points apiece.
The City Oilers will play Sharing on Sunday and complete the regular season against KIU Titans on Tuesday while Falcons still have Tiger Head Power on the cards scheduled for next week on Sunday.
In the women’s division, KCCA Leopards were taken to edge to complete the regular season series against A1 Challenge with a 58-56 win over the resilient side.
Rebecca Akullo led the way for Leopards with 14 and 12, and Claire Lamunu added 13 points and handed out 8 helpers.
Vickie Ntale and vicky Ondiso paced A1 Challenge with 14 and 12 points respectively.
