On form Lweza F.C skipper, Mike Sserumaga has earned from the toil of his diligence with a call up to the Uganda Cranes once again after a two year lull from national duty.

Sserumaga is among the 26 players summoned for the upcoming international friendly match against Ethiopia on Sunday, 9th November 2014.

El Merriekh goal keeper, Jamal Salim and Vipers’ midfielder, Kizito Keziron are first time players on the national senior team.

“The pool of locally based players start immediate non residential training on Wednesday afternoon before they will be joined by the foreign based players on the team in the coming days” Head coach, Milutin ‘Micho’ Sedrojevic told the media at FUFA House in Mengo on Wednesday.

Hassan Wasswa Mawanda returns to the team after the recent call up for the Cranes Na-Mutima campaign.
 
Notably missing from the team is the Sports Club Victoria University trio of goal keeper, Benjamin Ochan, defender Murushid Jjuuko and utility player, Dennis Iguma, who absconded from club training and have not been playing actively in the league.

“I cannot summon players who have disciplinary issues with their clubs” Micho remarked when put to task why he left the trio out.
