Uganda’s Moses Golola walked the talk and showed his vigorous training in the forests of Mabira wasn’t a waste of time as he knocked out Tanzania’s Emmanuel Shija in the first round.

What was a highly anticipated clash between the two national champions of their respective nations at the Crested Cranes Hotel in Jinja ended as soon as it hard started as Golola’s kicks and punches saw Shija knocked down.

“I told you,” Golola said after the victory. “The defeats I suffered were in the Old Testament and this is a new testament with a new Golola Moses,” he added.

Defeated Shija lauded Golola but said he would love to have a rematch.

“I suffered a muscle strain which forced me out but any time in the near future, I want a rematch.”

Victory implies Golola retains his East and Central Africa Kickboxing Championship ‘Best of the Best’ Title.
