Heathens rugby club emerged 62-00 winners over Makerere’s Impis to mark third triumph in three matches at Kyadondo Rugby Grounds on Friday.
Mathias Ochwo, Bishop Onen and Alex Mubiru notched each for an enthralling first half that closed out, hosts leading 24-00.
Impis did not match the experienced outfit, despite securing a total of 4 penalties that barely went through successfully. Impis failed to score a try or penalty in the whole match for the second time, having done so in their 68-00 first match against Kobs.
Failure to kick and making defence breakthroughs also haunted the visitors, having only gathered 15 points in three encounters this season, courtesy of Daniel Ortega’s brace of tries and Dembe Joel’s penalty all against Toyota Buffaloes.

Denis Tialata opened the flood gates for Heathens in second half following a maul that edged Impis back line for a try. The home side camped again in the opponents 22, until man of the match, Joel Kimuli touched for another 5 points.
Evans Kingasia crossed to touch twice for Heathens, as the team became rampant to make 62 points. Chris Opar and Allan Omoding did not disappoint, sealing the win with good conversions.
Impis’ Twaha attributed their third consecutive loss to inexperience in their side and lack of maturity of the players. “The team did not have that much experience as compared to Heathens, and maturity still lacks,” he told Kawowo Sports.
“The Kobs match was the hardest though, unlike this one. We should have won the Buffaloes, but it was unfortunate that we let them come back in the game that they managed to win.
