4th Beach Wood ball Circuit:
The 4th and final beach wood ball circuit of the year, 2014 came to a close on Sunday at the shores of Lake Victoria, Sports beach in Entebbe.
It was a long day of action that witnessed shocks and thrilling action of wood ball on the sand.
Brunno Bbosa’s rich vein of form continued after he won the men singles’ event with 44 strokes.
Bbosa who also won the third circuit beat El Muhammed Musisi by just two strokes’ difference.
The ladies’ version had the stiffest competition with Joan Mukoova, Lillian Zawedde and Nantege Shamsa all tieing on 51 strokes but Mukoova won the tie breaker having returned the lowest scores (2) in two of the 12 gate fairway.

“That is the true beauty of the sport. It was very competitive and too close to call” John Baptist Katergga, an administrator with Uganda Wood ball Federation (UWbF) told Kawowo Sports.
Other Events:
Busitema University’s Isaac Ariho and Franco Kibuule combined to card 47 strokes and win the doubles’ men event.
The duo beat Ndejje University’s Denis Sekidde and Collins Kamoga by 3 strokes.
Victoria Nankabirwa and Joan Mukoova (55) edged Shamsa Nantege and Rose Sandra Nabaggala (58) in the feminine gender’s doubles.
Mixed Doubles:
Ronald Kawumba and Charity Nagaba scored 50 strokes to Lillian Zawedde and Isreal Muwanguzi’s 59 to claim the mixed doubles’ category.
The event marked the last beach circuit of the Uganda Woodball Federation (UWbF) sanctioned event.
“Overall winners will be rewarded at an event dinner yet to come in December”, Kateregga clarified.
The 4th circuit drew competitors from Ndejje University, Ndejje Woodball Club, Busitema University, Entebbe Woodball Club, Bank of Uganda, Botladz Woodball Club, Uganda Christian University, Nkumba University, St. Joseph’s Technical Institute Kisubi, St. Mark’s College Namagoma and Muteesa I Royal University.
