Togo, who were seeking victory to go through, threatened a comeback when Jonathan Ayite headed home in the 47th minute from eight yards,but Agyemang-Badu’s deflected shot in the 69th minute took ensured Ghana succeed to the finals due to get underway in January in Equatorial Guinea.
Ghana finished their qualification campaign top of Group E with 11 points, while Guinea who beat Uganda 2-0 in Morocco to secure their spot in the tournament, closed out second with 10 points. Third placed Uganda finished with 7 points and Togo fourth with 6.
