Despite failing to lead Uganda Cranes to the 2015 Africa Nations Cup finals, Togo Coach Tchanile Tchakala has heaped praises on Coach Mulitin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic.
In an exclusive interview with Ghana sports website sports crusader, Tchakala said the Uganda; despite having less quality and wealth in terms of playing staff and federation riches respectively were unfortunate to miss out on the finals in Equatorial Guinea.
Many people will find it difficult to understand me but it is the open truth. Uganda had the best coach in our group with bad materials. Look at the way they handled Ghana in the two matches played. Their materials were not all that good compared to that of Ghana, Guinea and Togo but their technical and tactical comprehension was great. Their federation is not very rich but they had a nice coach. It is not easy for coaches to praise their opponents but I think Uganda had a good coach in the group.
Tchakala added that Guinea had good and skilful players, Ghana had a good team, Togo had names but Uganda had a coach.
Ghana had a very good team with coaching problems while Guinea had very good and skillful individual players and Togo had some names but Uganda had only a coach. I’m sad for them.
