FIFA Live Your Goals Festival:

Uganda will on Thursday make history as the first African country to host the ‘FIFA live your goals’ women’s football development project.
 
FIFA instructor, Jacqui Shichanga said;
Uganda is privileged for being the first nation to host such an international programme
This will be the first ever Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA) ‘Live your goals’ girls and women football development programme to be held on the African continent.
 
Emy Casaleti the wife of Zambian Football Legend, Kalusha Bwalya added added that;
The Live your goals programme is to increase the popularity of women’s football locally and Internationally; spark, foster and generate excitement about women’s football”,
The FIFA live your goals was first launched in Germany, during the 2011 women world cup.

Since then, the Live your goals festival has been hosted in Costa Rica (South America), Japan (Asia), Azerbajian (Europe) and Ireland Republic (Europe).

On the African continent, the programme is set to be launched on Thursday at the KCCA Stadium, Lugogo in Kampala.

The Kampala festival is expected to attract over 500 young girls and women.

About The FIFA Live Your Goals:

The FIFA Live Your Goals is targeted for concept development, design and branding.
 
In the programme, football material, expertise and financial support is extended to the countries where the festival has been held.

Over 30,000 your girls and women have been recruited between 2013 – 2014
It is intended to inspire and empower young girls and young women with golden opportunities in life as perfect female role models and improve their standing in society.
