Official Training session: Sat, 6th Dec: Uganda Sand Cranes Training

International Build up: Sun, 7th Dec : Zanzibar Vs Uganda

As Patrick Lugemwa, who travelled with the team as media officer told Kawowo ahead of Uganda’s first ever international beach soccer, the 17 man delegation endured a 2 day’s journey by road to the Indian Ocean Island of Zanzibar.

We reached well (Thursday night) and the reception was excellent but obviously, everybody was so tired after that long journey from Kampala

The team is accommodated in the state of art Bububu beach hotel, overlooking the Indian Ocean.
On request of the Zanzibar beach soccer federation, the highly anticipated match has been switched to Sunday.

The journey will help us improve the game back home as well as get the necessary tests ahead of Uganda’s AFCON 2015 tournament” Ali Mwebe, who travelled with the team told Kawowo Sports on phone.

The team is expected to train Friday before the mandatory official practice on the match day venue and exact time as recommended by CAF and FIFA.
