What a memorable day it was as the 9 year old Esther Mwangala slammed the 50cc Motorcross Championship becoming the first female to ever win a Motocross Championship in Uganda.

On a Busiika track expertly prepared by her dad Joseph Mwangala, it was time, after months of hardwork, training and preparations, for Esther to discover whether her skills were truly at the required pace to be considered a serious title contender.

In an equally thrilling and compelling season, Esther took the race victories earning the maximum points ahead of her tight opponent Isabella Blick in the 50cc class as expected.

Her dad had this to say regarding the championship,
“I took her in big races in Kenya and Zambia where she gained enough experience to apply back home.”

Esther beat the famous names in this class to top the table, including Habibu Kiggundu, Imran Nkurunziza, Isabella Blick and Arshi Junior among others.
“I used to train a lot together with my brother Joshua and dad before the event” say Esther

The fact that Esther is 9 years old, we expect to see her integrate to the 65cc for riders between 9-11years, together with her competitors Imran Nkurunziza, Habibu Kiggundu among others.
