15th Dec 2014: Bright Stars F.C Vs Victoria University at Lugogo

Bright Stars Football club coach, Fred Kajoba seeks a third straight Uganda Premier League victory at the helm of the Kawempe side as they host Victoria University at the Phillip Omondi Stadium in Lugogo on Monday.

The Uganda Cranes goalkeeping coach who was reportedly suspended by his former army side, Simba F.C spoke to Kawowo Sports.

We are at home and have won the last two fixtures, we therefore have the impetus to win again and jump to 4th on the table.

Bright Stars F.C are currently 7th on the 16 team log with 19 points off 12 fixtures played.

Goal Keeper, Mathias Kigonya has marked a steady road of regaining full fitness levels after that collision against Kira Young F.C skipper, Baker Lukooya last month.

All eyes will be on the Bright Stars F.C’s midfielder, Jimmy Lule (scorer in the club’s last two games) especially from the dead ball execution.

Victoria University, last season’s league runners up have had a torrid season thus far. Losing goal keeper, Benjamin Ochan, Denis Iguma and Simba F.C new recruit, Murushid Jjuuko (after suspension), the team coached by Morley Byekwaso has struggled to keep the pace with the leading pack.

They have lost 5 fixtures so far with just 3 wins and lie 10th with a miserable 13 points.

Striker Mathew Odong remains a big doubt with an ankle sprain and the side has improvised attacking options in midfielders, David Ndihabwe and Muwadda Mawejje or Farouk Kawooya.

However, SC Victoria univeristy Head tactician, Morley Byekwaso maintains confidence is all they need.

We only need to build on the confidence levels than anything else.

There will be only one game on Monday with 7 fixtures lined up for Tuesday.
