Friday December 19, 2014: Lweza Vs KCC – Mutesa II stadium, Wankulukuku @ 4.30pm
Newly promoted side Lweza FC will be out to register only their fourth victory campaign when they host KCC FC at Mutesa II stadium, Wankulukuku.
The Entebbe Road based side had a moderate start to the season winning three of their opening six fixtures but are yet to taste victory in their previous seven.
Ahead of the fixture against the champions, midfielder Mike Sserumaga still believes one good result can put their campaign back on track and targets KCC FC.
We are down at the moment but if we can win one game, maybe that will bring back the confidence. As players, games against big sides like KCC FC are always a big motivation and hopefully, we can shock them.
For a side struggling at the moment, KCC FC will prove a hard nut to crack. The Kasasiro Boys head into the game on the back of a 4-0 victory over Soana and striker Herman Wasswa says they want to build on that.
“It’s a crucial stage in the season and would wish to finish the first round on a high. For us, every game is a must win and this is no different.”
KCC FC are second on the log with 27 points and victory may see them cut Vipers’ lead to a point or two incase Edward Golola’s side fail to win away to Bidco.
Coach Abdallah Mubiru is likely to recall a number of players to the starting XI after making changes in the Soana game.
Hakim Ssenkumba, Habib Kavuma, Emmanuel Opio and Brian Umony may all be reinstated in the starting XI.
