Kira Young 1-1 Sports Club Victoria University
Nemesis teams, Kira Young Football club and Sports Club Victoria University (SCVU) played to a 1 all Uganda Premier League draw at the Nelson Mandel Stadium on Tuesday.
On a disappointing start of the round, SCVU, last season’s league runners up rallied from behind to pick a vital point in a match dubbed the ‘derby of Namboole’.
Striker, Brian Nkuubi Semakula gave Kira Young a deserved lead before another diminutive but industrious forward, Jackson Muwadde Mawejje leveled the scores for Victoria University.
Both teams are ‘draw masters’ having picked 7 apiece. SCVU lies 13th with 16 points and Kira Young is 12th with 13 points.
Whereas Victoria University were playing their last game of the first round, Kira Young will play their final game against Entebbe F.C at Namboole Stadium this Saturday.
