Rwenshama Football Club striker, Julius Malingumu is one of the most sought after players in the Uganda Premier League.

Upon being off loaded by Sports Club Villa towards the start of the 2014/15 season, Malingumu traveled for trials with the league debutant side, Rwenshama F.C (which he passed with flying colors).

After 10 league appearances, the diminutive forward, who thrives on pace and ultimate positional sense had returned 5 individual strikes including a brace against Uganda CAF confederations representatives, Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) F.C.

His only dark patch in the otherwise great first round was that sending off against army side, Simba Football Club.

As you read this, his market value has sky rocketed from a miniature $ 500 to an astronomical $7000.

He is now a top target for two Uganda Premier League sides, Bright Stars F.C and the league table leaders, Vipers Sports Club.

Fred Kajoba, head coach at Bright Stars F.C affirms to Kawowo Sports;

We need a top striker to help Bongole (Anthony) and Hassan Kikoyo, who has been nursing an injury.

Vipers S.C, has played with Dan Oriyworth as the leading striker and had to rely on auxiliary midfielders, Mike Mutyaba, Faruku Miya, Joseph Mpande and Kezironi Kizito for the much needed punch upfront.

Vipers S.C Head coach, Edward Golola asserts to Kawowo Sports;

Ahead of the second round, we need a goal poacher (in the mould of Malingumu) to bolster our striking department and we shall spend a fortune to acquire him.

The league officially climaxes on the 27th December 2014 as Kira Young hosts Entebbe F.C before the second round gets underway on 12th January 2015.
