Uganda Cranes striker Hamis ‘Diego’ Kiiza is nearing a move to Oman side Fanja FC Kawowo Sports has learnt.
Kiiza was recently released by Tanzania club Yanga FC who replaced him with Liberian Kpah Sherman in the small November/December window and he nearly signed for rivals Simba SC.
“He has many suitors at the moment with Oman’s Fanja amongst them,” a source close to the striker said.
Former side URA are also interested in signing the striker whose recent exploits at the club saw him win the league golden boot in 2011 and also won the Uganda Super League title with the Tax Men.
Kiiza joined Yanga in 2012 and has helped the club with a Kagame Cup title in 2012 and a league title in 2013.
