Grief and sadness has befallen the Tennis fraternity in the region with news of the death of Rwanda’s number one Tennis Player Jean Claude Gasigwa.
Reports from Rwanda indicate that the 31 year old collapsed and died on the spot on Thursday morning at Cercle Sportif de Kigali in Rugunga.
According to The Times of Rwanda, Cercle Sportif de Kigali officials say that Gasigwa was found dead a football field where he is said to have been jogging on his own.
The cause of his death is remains mystery but his body was taken to Police Hospital in Kacyiru for postmortem from where the real cause of his death will be revealed.

Lycie Hamissi, a coach at Cercle Sportif de Kigali, said the top seed did not have any past record of heart problems and that everyone is shocked by the news of his death.
