Tunisian Striker Saber Khalifa could misa out on featuring for his national side during the group stages of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations due to injury.

The Club Africain striker suffered a muscle injury he picked up in Tunisia’s friendly match against Algeria that ended with 1-1 draw and now has to wait for two weeks to get back to full fitness.

According to reports, Tunisia head coach, Georges Leekens, will have to wait to assess the extent of the player’s injury before making a final decision.

The 28-year-old player will go for medical tests this week according to Supersport to find out the exact duration he might spend on the sidelines.

The striker, who is on loan at Club Africain from Olympique Marseille joins Hertha Berlin midfielder, Anis Ben- Hatira on the injury list having been ruled out due to a toe injury.

Tunisia will face Zambia, Cape Verde and DR Congo after cancelling their friendly match against Mali earlier scheduled for
January 14.
