Loughborough Lightening Netball Club names Team Captain

English Premier League team, Loughborough Lightening netball club has named mid-court player, Rachel Henry as team skipper for the 2015 season.

Loughborough Lightening is home to Uganda She Cranes Net ball captain, Peace Proscovia.

Rachel Henry, an intelligent mid-court player is optimistic ahead of the new season and her new role;

There is a lot of anticipation around the squad and franchise at the moment off the back of a successful pre-season and also with the injection of new players.I am excited by the challenge and opportunity to the lead this group that are constantly pushing each other for improvement and results. We are looking forward to the start of the season and making a real impact.

Assisting as vice-captains are Lauren Steadman and Rachel Forbes.

On the choice of the team captain, the club head coach Karen Atkinson said;

Henry has special leadership abilities both on and off the court. She will ably serve the purpose

Loughborough opens the 2015 campaign away to Yorkshire on February 1^st before hosting the home game 6 days against Hertfordshire.
