Sixteen time record Uganda football league winners, Sports Club Villa have named Paul ‘Kiwa’ Mutebe Teziggwa as the new club public relations officer (PRO), Kawowo Sports reliably confirms.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Ivan Kakembo will on Monday communicate the club’s official position on the matter.
By the close of business on Monday, the club will present to the media and general public about the PRO issue
About Mutebe, the new Club PRO:
Mutebe, an ardent fan of the club over the years takes over former P.R.O, Swaibu Raul Kanyike.
He has been serving on the club fans co-ordination committee. He has an experienced back ground in media and public relations having worked as a sports presenter at Radio Simba and Dembe F.M stations.
He is now the CEO of a communications company and web portal, Just News Agency.
Why Kanyike Bowed Out:
Kanyike ceased his duties as Public Relations Officer in mid November citing nonpayment among other several administrative woes with the club.
It is reportedly said Kanyike was left disheartened following massive club restructuring policies that witnessed a revision in players and officials’ working contracts.
In a bid to cut on the club’s astronomical operational costs, several players and officials had a pay cut, a move that obviously was treatment with resentment.
Last week, SC Villa commenced preparations for the start of the league second round.
