Moussa Sow scored Senegal’s winner in stoppage time to condemn Ghana to a 2-1 loss in the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations on day three of the showpiece.

Andre Ayew’s penalty gave Ghana the lead in the 14th minute but Senegal’s Mame Biram Diouf equalized in the 58th minute before Sow scored the late winner.

Asamoah Gyan missed out for Ghana due to Malaria and the side only had two shots on target against Senegal, with the final one coming in the 39th minute.

The cross bar denied Senegal’s Kara Mbodj before Bouna Coundoul made a solid save in the Senegal net.

Andre Ayew sent the keeper the wrong way from the penalty spot after Christian Atsu was felled in the box. Ghana flags waved wildly on the far side of the stadium after Ayew converted.

Senegal dominated second half and were rewarded just after Alfred N’Diaye picked the ball up 20-yards from goal, to take his shot that went just wide into the side- netting.

Stoke’s Mame Biram Diouf headed against the post from yards out and the rebound bounced straight back to him and heading into an empty net in the 58th minute.

Papakouli Diop’s free-kick smacked the top of the wall going wide for Senegal before a three-touch move saw Mame Biram Diouf of Senegal clipped the ball on the edge of the area into the path of Moussa Sow.

Sow finally delivered home, rolling the ball to the back of the net. The last minute winner left Grant’s men with work to do ahead of their clash with Algeria on Friday.

Next up for Senegal will a meeting with 1996 winners South Africa.
