Lightweight hot shot Sharif “Lion” Bogere, might have not yet landed a second world title shot in the new year, but his impressive return to action at the close of the boxing season has elevated his status globally and could see an early challenge for him in 2015.
World Boxing Organisation, ranks the Ugandan boxing star at number 11 in there latest listings in the 135 pound division while the International Boxing Organisation rates him at 50 having just two places up the ranks. He is also ranked number 22 by the World Boxing Council
“I have been training hard early in the season and am ready for anybody in my division am pretty glad to be back in the ring doing what I do best,” Bogere said recently. “I really don’t see anybody in my division who impresses me apart from Terence Crawford, the WBO lightweight champion.”
The Las Vegas based professional ended 2014 with three wins out of three after returning from injury and losing his only fight against Cuban Richar Abril, the World WBA lightweight champion.
Bogere is 26-1-0(18 KOs). He is promoted by Golden Boy Promotions and is one of there several bright prospects in there boxing camp.
