Uganda Swimming Federation has unleashed a compact swimming calendar with several international swimming competitions that the country is expected to take part in.

The first event to roll out for the swimmers will be the first National Time Trials to select a team for Uganda at the CANA IV swimming championships in Luanda, Angola will be held on March 21-22 at Gems Cambridge International School.

Uganda hosted the CANA IV swimming championships at Kampala Parents School.

Uganda Swimming Federation who are spreading the sport to schools and other parts of the country will then have the Midland Group Inter-Primary School National Swimming Championships from March 14 at Rainbow International School of Uganda.

The same month will see National Inter-Secondary School Swimming Championships be held on March 28 at either Buddo or Smack. USF has already conducted a high level 1 coaching course and swimming camp to certicify all coaches, and trainers in the country.

The National Open swimming championships will be held on April 18-19 at to select a side that will take part in the 16th FINA World Masters swimming championships from August 5-16 in Kazan, Russia.

USF will also send a junior swimming team for the 5th FINA World Junior Swimming Championships in Singapore, from September 1-6. Other competitions lined up include USF Independence swimming championships from October 3-4, the Uganda National Open /National Masters Championships from November 7-8 and also the 1st CANA Zone III swimming championships from December 3-6.
