KCC FC established a narrow advantage over Cameroon’s Cosmos De Bafia by winning the first leg of the preliminary first round of the 2015 CAF Champions league 1-0 at Namboole.

Herman Wasswa struck the only goal of the game but how did the KCC FC players rate on the day? Find out here.

Yasin Mugabi 7.0: He made two crucial saves in the first half to keep the scoreline level with only him to beat. He did show why he was preferred ahead of Benjamin Ochan.

Sakka Mpiima 6.5: Had a wonderful run going forward and was involved in the only goal of the game with a weighed cross which was met by Paul Mucureezi header and later Wasswa who put it away.

Simon Namwanja 7.0: He was preferred ahead of the experienced Habib Kavuma and he didn’t disappoint. He was solid defensively and also had brilliant runs going forward. Unfortunate not to bag an assist as his cross met Wasswa’s header inside the area only to miss target by inches.

Ibrahim Kizza 5.0: Had a torrid time defending against danger man Ntjaka Guy Marcel and lost on him on two occasions only for Mugabi to save the situation.

Ronnie Kisekka 7.0: He was as hard as a rock at the heart of defence. He put his body on the line and was responsible for the send off of Patrick Nai after winning two fouls off him.

Hakim Senkumba 6.0: He was good on the ball but awful off it. Allowed midfielders too much time on the ball and provided little cover for his defence. Subbed a few minutes into second half with a knee injury.

Ivan Ntege 6.5: Did a bit better in midfield especially when called to anchor after Ssenkumba withdraw but his passing remained wanting.

Tom Masiko 7.0: Passed a late fitness test and did decently. Linked up well with his forwards and unfortunate not score on the half time mark as his shot was saved by Mengue Tsogo.

Owen Kasule 6.5: Didn’t see a whole lot of the ball but made the most of his possession with some decent passes to forwards. Later withdrawn for Derrick Nsibambi.

William Wadri 6.0: Worked hard in attack and saw more of the ball but his decision making let him down. Held up to possession when making a first time pass was the right decision.

Herman Wasswa 7.0: Held up the ball very well and was unselfish in attack. Wasted a good opportunity to break the deadlock in the first half but finally got his goal in the 84th minute tapping home from close range to send a few spectators into frenzy.

Substitutes:

Paul Mucureezi 7.0: Injected pace with his quick on- two passes and bagged an assist for the only goal of the game. Unfortunate not to hit the back of the net with the goal at his mercy with goalie beaten.

Derrick Nsibambi 5.0: The youthful striker came on for Owen Kasule but was bullied off the ball more often. Nevertheless, his presence gave KCC FC more numbers in attack which troubled Cosmos De Bafia defence.

Habib Kavuma N/A: Came on late for William Wadri

Coach: Abdallah Mubiru 8.0: His decision making right from the starting eleven to the substitutions was spot on.
