Brevis Kristofer Kizito Mugabi, 19 has signed for English Premier club, Southampton Football Club for 2 and a half years.

Born in Harrow, England, Kizito was born to Ugandan parents on 1st May 1995.

The player, comfortably in central defence and midfield is excited upon the feat after an injury plagued season.

I am delighted to get it actually signed and all sorted so I can now just focus on my football and prove my place. The next progression for me is first team football, so hopefully I can carry on working hard and prove myself in training and matches

He has been part of the team’s Under 21 set up and the contract at The Saints assured his stay until 2017.

Uganda Cranes Chance:

For his dual citizenship status, Kizito can still ably represent Uganda at the senior level.

Previously, as he was still in the Fulham F.C junior ranks, he was put on the standby list of the England U-18 squad although he missed the chance due to a nagging knee injury.
 

So far, Mugabi has registered eight appearances so far this season, scoring three goals, including two in two games, against Chelsea and against Everton.
He joins another East African, Victor Wanyama at Southampton.
