Lightweight Hot-shot Sharif “Lion” Bogere, will make his first bow of the year out of the USA, when he takes on home boy Jose “Chelo” Gonzalez in a ten round non-title fight on April 11 Coliseo Jose Miguel Agrelot, San Juan, Puerto Rico.
It will be the Ugandan fighter’s first fight in the year and also his first outside the United States of America as he builds up to a possible title fight in the New Year.
“I have been training hard with my team in Las Vegas and am in good spirits ahead of my clash with Gonzalez,” Bogere stated. “I am building momentum for a title fight which I believe will come soon.”
Bogere is on a three fight winning streak and will be seeking to make it four and improve his fight record he is currently 26-1,(18 KOs) going into this fight.
His opponent is 23-1,(18 KOs). The Las Vegas based fighter is trained by Kenny Adams.
