SC Villa striker Erias Ssekisambu cried foul after scoring the equalizing goal against Express FC in a closely contested but abandoned derby at Wankulukuku.
With the Red Eagles leading 1-0 through John Semazzi goal, Ssekisambu capitalized on poor defending by Henry Katongole to slot the ball into the net which sparked off violence that saw the game end prematurely.
“I am happy for the goal but am hurt that it may not count,” Ssekisambu told Kawowo Sports as fans in the Red Eagles stands were throwing all kinds of missiles towards the pavilion, Villa end and on the pitch.
“I have scored in all games that have been abandoned this season and despite the fact that we get awarded points, my goals don’t count and this doesn’t reflect well with my statistics,” he added.
Ssekisambu did score in the abandoned games against Express FC at Mityana and then in Bugembe against Sadolin Paints.
All decisions went in his club’s favour but his goal count remains static with just two he scored against Entebbe and Vipers.
