Kira Young Football Club captain, Derrick Tekkwo has been ruled out of the upcoming Nigeria versus Uganda international build up match slated for this Wednesday at the Akwa Ibom stadium.

The king pin midfielder traveled out of the country on Saturday morning with the Uganda Sand Cranes team for the return leg of the CAF 2015 beach championship qualifier with Ghana.

Tekkwo will not be with us for the game because he is with our national beach soccer team, The Sand Cranes.

FUFA spokesperson, Ahmed Hussein, who is now the in charge of media for all the national teams, revealed to Kawowo Sports on Saturday.

Eight players locally based with the domestic clubs featuring in the AZAM Uganda Premier league trained under Head coach, Micho and his two assistants, Kefa Kisala and Fred Kajoba.

Those who trained were; Shafik Bakaki, Kezironi Kizito, Robert Sentongo, Faruku Miya, Joseph Nsubuga, Ismail Watenga, Ibrahim Kiyemba and Chrizestom Ntambi.

Two of these players will be left behind as Micho names the final traveling squad that will be joined by the foreign based players including striker, Geofrey Massa, who has been in the country on a compassionate leave after the loss of a relative.

The team of local based stars returns to training on Sunday morning before departing in the afternoon aboard Ethiopian Airlines.
