Pool Association Of Uganda (PAU) Seed 3 Amos Ndyagumanawe Amos defended his Easter Trophy after edging Seed 4 and fellow Skin Samona teammate Sula  Matovu 6-4 in a very contested Best of 11 Final at Lumas  Namirembe Road on Good Friday.

Ndyagumanawe overcame Seed 6 Navy Matovu who has just signed to Gals pool club 4-1 in the quarter finals and also didn’t find any problem in the  semi Finals winning seed 10 Joseph Mutawe 5-2.

Matovu beat Icon’s Allan Nsubuga in the Quarter Finals 4-1 before slashing his teammate Musa Sekiliba Musa 5-1  in the Semi Finals.

Sekiliba had earlier shocked seed one Alfred Gumikiriza 4-1 in quarter finals was on his best pick at the start of the Tournament.

Am very happy to retain this trophy and since it’s the season opener its going to help me stay focused and train more

Joseph Mutawe who was sponsored by Bukenya Air conditioners won the third place after winning Kyato Motors Sponsored Player Sekiliba Musa 4-2.

In ladies category, current Seed 2 and the reigning pool queen Champion Vicky Namuyanja won the Easter Championship for Second time after winning 2013 Champion Kagoya Vivian in a very  tight Best of 9  final.  

Namuyanja who last won Easter cup in 2012 after winning Nalugwa Shamim  won Seed 8 Mirembe Sharon  in the Quarter Finals before slashing her fellow Skin samona Teammate and Seed 4 Kajubi Jacinta  4-3 in the Semi Finals.

Kagoya won She Cranes and Indigo  Captain Zaimat Nabafu 4-0 in the Quarter Finals before winning Seed One Ritah Nimusima 4-3 in the Sem Finals.

Ritah Nimusima was also upset in the third play off game by Jacinta  Kajubi, who rallied from behind to win her 3-2 in the best of 5 fixture.
