Paul Nkata’s job at Kenya Premier League side Nairobi City Stars is on the lifeline after his side lost a fifth consecutive league over the weekend.

The Nairobi based football club acquired the services of the former SC Villa, Kira Young and URA FC Coach but it looks like a bad move if results in the opening five league fixtures are to go by.

City Stars opened the season with a 1-0 defeat to AFC Leopards, then lost 2-1 to Western Stima and posted the same score line against Tusker FC before suffering 1-0 and 2-0 losses to Bandari and Mathare United respectively.

Nevertheless, Nkata is still optimistic the bad times will come to end soon.

“I have faith in my players. We have not collected any points this season and that is obviously disappointing, but I am sure that we soon will. It is only a matter of time” he is quoted by the official league website.

City Stars who are home to ex-Proline midfielder Ismail Kambugu currently sits at the base of the 16 team log with zero points from five games.
